Imperative
The moral, philosophical, and physical decline of the West is obvious. Exhausted by the long 20th century, the West exists in a time of uneasy contradiction: increasingly secular and relativistic, yet dogmatic in its adherence to the high-church of liberalism; materialistic and consumeristic, yet technologically stagnant and pessimistic; lukewarm and apathetic, stirred occasionally by pangs of extremism. The right’s proposed political solutions of the past 50 years have done little to slow—let alone reverse—this decline.
The path we must now walk is narrow, but it is passable. We take as our guide on this path a vision of America informed by our past but oriented toward the future.
Our Principles:
We believe and organize around the belief that now is a time for consolidation, a time for sharpening, and a time for building.
We believe the family is the cornerstone of civilization, the fundamental unit of society, and precedes the state. We seek a political and cultural order that defends, strengthens, and honors the family.
We seek the restoration of an American elite worthy of the name—characterized by virtue, ability, and a devotion to the nation and the people who constitute it.
We seek to place Christianity at its rightful place in the center of the public square.
We believe education is inherently political and that the classroom should encourage not only academic excellence, but the cultivation of virtue and an enlightened patriotism.
We believe any healthy polity is built upon a shared pursuit of the true, the good, and the beautiful. Public institutions must support that pursuit and not create confusion.
We believe the American economy should protect and advance the interests of the American people and the American family above all.
We believe technology ought to be a tool for human flourishing, and that we must both develop and wield it with that end in mind.
We believe our national security should have as its watchword the defense of the lives, interests, and property of the American people before all else.
We believe that we must have a secure border and an immigration system that works for the American people first.
We intend to reclaim American cities, rebuild our local communities, protect our natural resources, and build great public works worthy of a great country.
We believe those committed to the recovery of the American way of life have a duty to seize the opportunities that upheaval and uncertainty present.
We believe those who share this vision for American greatness must work together to gain and wield political, economic, and cultural power for the good of the American people.
We believe that through prayer and action, this future is for the American people to claim.
